Seven members of the Tecumseh High School Girls Swim and Dive Team competed in the Michigan Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (MISCA) meet on Saturday October 12th at Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  The girls finished the meet with 2 varsity records; 6 top 10 finishes, 3 of them being top 3 finishes; and 7 season best times, 6 of which were high school career best times.  Emily Solarski finished 2nd and broke the varsity record in the 100 yard Butterfly with a time of 56.89, previously set by Crosby in 2003 (57.40).  The 200 yard Medley Relay team of Amelia Danley, Linda Hensley, Emily Solarski, and Julianne Lore finished 3rd and broke the varsity record with a time of 1:49.80, previously set in 2016 by Clewis, Dusseau, Marsh, and Nevins (1:50.19).  Linda Hensley finished 3rd in the 100 yard Freestyle with a time of 52.95.  Other top 10 finishes included Linda Hensley in the 200 yard Individual Medley with a time of 2:11.31, Amelia Danley in the 100 yard Backstroke with a time of 1:00.10, and the 400 yard Freestyle relay of Makayla Sanders, Julianne Lore, Emily Solarski, and Linda Hensley with a time of 3:40.11.  The whole team will compete again on Thursday 10/17 at Adrian High School at 6pm.
