The Tecumseh High School Girls Swim Team competed against the Erie Ida High School Girls Swim Team at the Tecumseh Community Pool on Tuesday October 20th.  The final score was Tecumseh 101 and Erie-Ida 62.  Tecumseh finished with 2 new state cuts, 9 first place finishes, and 14 season best times, 11 of which were high school career best times.  The state cuts were both from Linda Hensley, one in the 50 yard Freestyle with a time of 25.75 and the other in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:02.09.  Other first place finishes included the 200 yard Medley Relay team of Kylie Balent, Lauren Stimpson, Linda Hensley, and Makayla Sanders with a time of 2:03.41, Kara Olberg in the 200 yard Freestyle with a time of 2:40.08,  Amelia Danley in the 200 yard Individual Medley with a time of 2:31.02, Kylie Balent in the 100 yard Butterfly with a time of 1:09.76, Amelia Danley in the 100 yard Freestyle with a time of 1:01.44, Lauren Stimpson in the 500 yard Freestyle with a time of 6:32.36, and the 400 yard Freestyle Relay team of Isabella Hennings, Lauren Stimpson, Kylie Balent, and Linda Hensley with a time of 4:23.93.  High School Career Best Times, not previously mentioned, were achieved by Lauren Stimpson in the 50 yard Freestyle, Makayla Sanders in the 100 yard Butterfly, Isabella Hennings, Amanda Harris, and Kara Olberg in the 100 yard Freestyle, Makayla Sanders in the 100 yard Backstroke, and Kylie Balent in the 100 yard Breaststroke. Tecumseh's next meet is scheduled for Thursday 10/22 at Jackson High School.
