The Tecumseh Indian softball squad started MHSAA Tournament play with a first round 5 inning mercy rule 13-1 win over host Dundee at the Dundee Softball Stadium on Tuesday. 

Dundee scored first, grabbing an early one run lead in the top of the first, pushing their only run across the plate as the Indians were turning a double play. 

The rest of the game was all Indians, as Tecumseh batted around in both the 1^st and 2^nd innings, scoring 5 runs in the first and 6 more in the second to go up 11-1 after two. The Indians added single runs in the 3^rd and 4^th, while Indian pitcher Kennadi Fulton held the Vikings scoreless through the final four innings, picking up the win while striking out four.

On offense, London Landini and Emma Eldred each had 3 hits and a double, with Landini picking up three RBIs and Eldred one. Indian catcher Alexis McNamera went 2 for 2 with a pair of singles also driving in three.

Other Indians collecting singles were Laura Nadeau, Kasey Ketola, Maddie Van Black and Lainey Sysko. Mya Juozapaitis earned three walks and scored two runs.

With the win, the Indians move on to the District Semi-Finals on Saturday at 10 am against Milan. Adrian will play Romulus in the other Semi-Final at noon. The winners will meet in the 2:00 pm Final for the District Championship.

Tecumseh’s Kennadi Fulton dominated once again on the mound, leading the Indians to a 2-0 win over Whiteford on Teacher Appreciation night at the Softball Stadium. 

Fulton tossed a shutout for the Indians striking out 12 to earn the win in another pitchers dual.

The offensive star of the game was Maya Juozapaitis, who scored both of the Indians runs, including one on exciting inside of the park home run.

The Indians were originally scheduled to play a doubleheader with the Bobcats, but game two was washed out by rain. The Indians next action will be at Dexter on Wednesday starting at 4:00 pm

The Tecumseh Indians softball team dropped a tough decision Thursday to the Riverview Pirates 1-0 and then fell in the nightcap 13-3. 

Game one was a fantastic pitcher's duel in which the Pirates pushed a run across in the 7^th inning took take the 1-0 victory. Tecumseh Kennedi Fulton dominated the Pirate lineup most of the afternoon allowing just one hit and striking out 13 Riverview batters.

The Indians were only able to scratch out 5 hits themselves, as Kasey Ketola and Maya Juozapaitis each had two hits apiece.

In game two Emma Eldred drove in 3 runs in the first inning to give the Indians a 3-1 run lead, but Riverview responded with 4 in the second on the way to a 13-3 win. Juozapaitis led the Indians at the plate going 2 for 3.

Indians will return to action on Monday as they host Whiteford in a doubleheader on Teacher/Faculty night.

The Tecumseh Indians Softball team got it’s season off to a great start, earning a doubleheader sweep of the Pinckney Pirates on Thursday. The Indians shutout the Pirates in game number one 10-0. But the Pirates rebounded in game 2, putting up a much tougher fight, but the Indians prevailed once again 10-9.

The Indians have a busy weekend planned with a trip to Carlson High for a Friday Doubleheader and competing in the Hanover-Horton Invitational on Saturday.
