Wrestling’s Antowne Hudson moved up a weight class this week, going from 106 to 113 at the Livonia Franklin tournament and won four out of five matches to earn a fifth place finish in the tournament. The hard working Hudson has been improving throughout the season.

Chloe BullingerChloe Bullinger played a key role in helping the Indians Girls Basketball team go 3-0 last week. IN the opening game Chloe led the team with 17 points on 100% shooting while also adding 5 rebounds and 4 assists.Chloe continued to make her mark in the programs record books, moving from 4th to 2nd place in the Tecumseh all-time assist list with 326 assists, trailing only 2025 graduate Ashlyn Moorehead (Adrian College) with 388.Chloe also helped lead the Indians past 9th ranked Midland on Saturday, securing an impressive 55-37 victory.Beyond the stat sheet Chloe adds so much more to our team- leading our defense with relentless effort and intensity, while providing senior leadership that is truly second to none.

Tecumseh Drops Low Scoring Affair to Adrian Madison 43-38
Boys Varsity BasketballTecumseh’s Lamar Longabaugh scored a season high 20 points but it was not enough, as the visiting Adrian Madison Trojans escaped with a 43-38 non-conference win over the Indians. It was at tough start for both teams, as each squad tallied just 4 points in the first quarter. It remained a defensive struggle in the second quarter as well, with Madison taking a narrow 13-11 advantage at the half.The Indians won the third quarter 14-13 to trail by just one point entering the final eight minutes, but Madison closed the game out in the final quarter.Elijah Hiatt was the only Trojan to score in double figures although Madison did have balanced scoring with 7 players in the scoring column. In addition to Longabaugh’s superior effort which included 5 three pointers and 5 rebounds, Charlie Palmer contributed 6 points and 6 rebounds to the Indians offense. Girls Varsity BasketballThe Tecumseh Indians traveled to the Hills of Millersville, Ohio on Monday to participate in an event featuring some of the most elite teams in the Midwest, and fell to the West Clermont Wolves of Cincinnati, Ohio 69-41.The Wolves jumped out to a 12-9 advantage in the first quarter, but Tecumseh’s Makayla Schlorf drained a triple on the Indians first possession of the second half to tie the game at 12-12. Tecumseh then went on to push the lead to five on a pair of Schlorf free throws at the 4:52 mark, but that is where the Indians momentum came to an end, as Clermont would score the game’s next 15 points on a 20-2 run to end the half which included four consecutive three-point goals, making the score 37-34 at the intermission.In the second half it was more of the same, as the Wolves continued to pound in the triples, finishing with ten on the night. Indians Jumpstart Offense in 58-32 Win Over Pinckney
Boys Varsity BasketballThe Tecumseh Boys Basketball squad traveled on the road to Pinckney Friday night and put together a complete offense performance, outscoring the Pirates in all four quarters to earn their 7th win of the year.The offensive output was keyed by senior Charlie Palmer’s 20 point and 11 rebound double-double and Zeke Schmidt’s 18 points which were the result of dropping 6 triples from behind the arc. Schmidt, along with Gabe Abbott, each doled out 5 assists as the Indians tallied 17 helpers as a team.Meanwhile, the Pirates struggled to score the basketball, putting up just 11 points in the first half, trailing 24-11 at the break. The Indians put the contest away with a 18-10 advantage in the third quarter and won the final stanza 16-11 to reach the 58-32 final.The win raises the Indians record to 2-2 in conference play and to 7-5 overall.

Boys Varsity BasketballThe Tecumseh Indians went on the road for a SEC White conference tilt on Tuesday night and struggled offensively shooting 14 for 40 from the floor in a 61-40 loss to Chelsea Bulldogs in Chelsea. The game started with a very competitive first quarter, as Chelsea gained a slight12-11 edge in the first eight minutes. Tecumseh’s Gabe Abbott gave the Indians their only lead of the game with a layup to start the 2nd quarter, but the Bulldogs went on a 6-0 run to regain the lead on their way to outscoring the Indians in the second quarter 17-5 to lead 29-16 at the break.In the second half, Tecumseh scoring a game high 15 points in the 4th quarter, but Chelsea was able to push the lead to 25 at the 5:28 mark of the final stanza and settle for a 21-point win.Despite the loss, Gabe Abbott scored 19 points and collected 10 rebounds for his second double-double of the year to lead Tecumseh in both categories. Girls Varsity BasketballThe Tecumseh Girls Basketball team traveled to Chelsea on Tuesday for a showdown between the last undefeated teams in the SEC White Division conference race and decisively prevailed over the Bulldogs to take sole possession of first place with a 60-27 win. The Indians dominated the game from the onset, hitting their first three 3-point shots on the way to an 11-0 start. Chelsea did fight back to cut the lead to 15-7, but a Chloe Bullinger 3- pointer on the Indians last possession of the quarter pushed the lead 18-7 after one quarter. The 2nd quarter saw the Indians put the game away outscoring Chelsea 25-7 to lead 39-14 at the break.In the second half Tecumseh built the lead to game high 41 points near the end of 3rd quarter, as the running clock was invoked for the rest of the contest. Boys Varsity BasketballThe Adrian Maples used a 15-3 run in the first quarter to establish control of their game with the Tecumseh Indians on Friday night and cruised to a 57-43 win over the Indians at Tecumseh.Tecumseh started the game strong with a 4-0 lead in the first minute and a half of play, but the Maples took over from that point, forcing 20 Indian turnovers and holding Tecumseh to just 13 first half points. Tecumseh did hold their own on the glass, as the two teams each had 30 rebounds apiece, with Tecumseh hold an 11-9 edge in second chance points.For the Indians, Zeke Schmidt led all scorer with 15 points and Lamar Longabaugh just missed a double-double with 10 points and 8 rebounds in the contest. The Maples were led by Jaxson Francis with 14 points and Calvin Polley chipped in 13 for Adrian.The loss drops the Indians record to 6-4 on the season. Indians Roll to SEC Win Over Adrian 67-30
Girls Varsity BasketballThe Tecumseh Girls Basketball team pushed their season record to 8-1 and 2-0 in the SEC White Division as the defeated the Adrian Maples 67-30 on Friday night in Tecumseh. First-year player Delaney Brown scored a career high 21 points and junior center Addi Zajac scored 16 points as part of a double-double paired with 15 rebounds to lead Tecumseh to the victory.Tecumseh completely overwhelmed the Maples with a 31-3 first quarter run, before Adrian fought back to score 12 points in the second quarter and trail 44-15 at half. For the game the Indians forced 21 Maple turnovers and capitalized with 31 points off turnovers to seal the victory.Other leaders for Tecumseh were Chloe Bullinger with 6 assists and Addi Zajac’s 7 steals. Leading the scoring for Adrian was Amor Sanchez with 9 points, while Ella Salenbien grabbed 10 rebounds for the Maples.Tecumseh will return to action next Tuesday night, January 13th when they travel to Chelsea for and encounter with the Bulldogs at 5:30.

Tecumseh Gymnastics Top Jackson in Opening League Meet
Girls Varsity GymnasticsLast night the Tecumseh co-op gymnastics team traveled to Jackson for their first SCGL dual of the season and came home with a win posting a season high team total of 131.55 to JAG's 130.225.The Tecumseh squad was led by Bella Janiga (Columbia) who took first place on all events and the all-around, with scores of 8.55 Vault, 8.925 Bars, 9.1 Beam, 8.95 Floor, and 35.525 All Around Kelsey Covell (Clinton) tied with Bella for first on Vault (8.55) and took 3rd on Floor (8.5) while Olivia Atkin (Tecumseh) was 3rd on Vault (8.475) and 2nd on Bars (7.925) Team 25 heads to Saline on Thursday, January 15 for their next SCGL dual at 6pm

Indian Offense Rolls in 79-46 Win Over Blissfield
Boys Varsity BasketballThe Tecumseh Indians Boys Basketball team scored high season high 79 points on Tuesday, on their way to an impressive 79-46 win over Blissfield in a non-conference affair at Tecumseh.Led by Gabe Abbott’s 19 points, the Indians lead wire to wire over the Royals, scoring 31 points off 19 Royal’s turnovers. The Indians outscored Blissfield 16-8 in the first quarter and then took a commanding lead at halftime with a second quarter which saw Tecumseh outscore the Royals 23-5 for a 39-13 halftime edge. In addition to Abbott, the Indians saw three more players score in double figures as Zeke Schmidt scores 15 points, Charlie Palmer added 12 and Lamar Longabaugh had 10. Tecumseh held a 36-24 rebounding edge, including 14 offensive rebounds which produced 21 points. In addition to his 19 points ,Abbott also contributed 5 of Tecumseh’s 18 assists.For Blissfield, guard Skyler Kimple had a big night with 19 points which included 3 three pointers. Huge First Half Propels Indians to 71-30 Win Over Blissfield
Girls Varsity BasketballThe Tecumseh Indians Girls Basketball team returned home on Tuesday night and used a 52-point first half offensive explosion to get back in the win column with a 71-30 victory over visiting Blissfield.The Indians delighted the home crowd by scoring 21 points in the first quarter and 31more in the second to establish a 52-17 halftime lead. The Indians advantage bulged to as many as 48 in the third quarter before the Royals outscored the Indians 8-4 in the 4th quarter.The Indians scored 19 points off turnovers in the contest and benefited from 19 offensive rebounds that they turned into 25 points.Avery Zajac scored 17 points and had 9 rebounds, while Makayla Schlorf added 16 points and Chloe Bullinger also reached double figures with 11 points and added 5 assists.
