Thunderstorms forced the cancelation of Monday's Baseball games with Chelsea on Monday.The Games will now be played with a doubleheader in Tecumseh on Wednesday, May 20th at 4:00pm and Friday, May 22nd a single game in Chelsea at 4:30.

Tecumseh’s Taylor LaDean of the Indians cheer team was named this week’s athlete of the week for her efforts at the Competitive Cheer District 8 meet last week. LaDean was a key catalyst for leading the Indians to their highest 3rd round score of the season and also anchored the Indians first and second round performances as Tecumseh finished 8th at the 13 team event at Dexter.

Ava has been a top performer for the Indians cheerleading squad this season. In her first-year season, Ava competes in all three rounds for the Indians, helping the team turn in an impressive outing at their last SEC meet this past Thursday, by helping the team to a season high score for round 1 of 219.8.Ava also excels as a tumbler and is a flyer in round 3 and has played a vital role in helping the squad secure a second-place finish in the SEC White Division.

Cruz Torres had a big week on the wrestling mat last week after dropping down to the 175-weight class and getting a pair of falls against Ypsilanti. Cruz then followed that performance by earning 3rd place on Saturday at the Grass Lake invitational. With his team first attitude, Cruz has been a leader in the wrestling room all season.

Addi Zajac led the Indians with 15 points and 8 rebounds in their 69-41 loss to #2 ranked Cincinnati West Clemont in Ohio last week in the Classic of the Country showcase at Hiland High School in Ohio. Addi also scored 16 points vs. Ypsilanti Lincoln on January 26th.Addi is having another fine season for the Indians averaging 12 points and 9.8 points per game. She has 4 double-doubles this season, bringing her career total to 23. Addi is also a prolific passer around the basket with 123 career assists for the Indians.

Charlie Palmer scored 20 points had had 12 rebounds for his second double-double of the season as he led the Indians to a 58-32 win on January 16th. Palmer has been the Indians top rebounder all season pulling down 6.3 caroms a game and average 10.5 points per game for the Indians.

Wrestling’s Antowne Hudson moved up a weight class this week, going from 106 to 113 at the Livonia Franklin tournament and won four out of five matches to earn a fifth place finish in the tournament. The hard working Hudson has been improving throughout the season.

Chloe BullingerChloe Bullinger played a key role in helping the Indians Girls Basketball team go 3-0 last week. IN the opening game Chloe led the team with 17 points on 100% shooting while also adding 5 rebounds and 4 assists.Chloe continued to make her mark in the programs record books, moving from 4th to 2nd place in the Tecumseh all-time assist list with 326 assists, trailing only 2025 graduate Ashlyn Moorehead (Adrian College) with 388.Chloe also helped lead the Indians past 9th ranked Midland on Saturday, securing an impressive  55-37 victory.Beyond the stat sheet Chloe adds so much more to our team- leading our defense with relentless effort and intensity, while providing senior leadership that is truly second to none.

The Tecumseh Girls Soccer Team saw their 3-game winning streak come to an end on Monday as the Jackson Vikings scored six goals, 3 in each half, to defeat the Indians 6-1 in Jackson.Anaya Selby scored the first of her two goals three minutes into the game, breaking the Indians 6 half streak of holding opponents scoreless to give Jackson an early 1-0 lead. Tecumseh fought back to tie the game 5 minutes later when Sadie Dyer took a pass from Brook Stark and deposited in the Viking net to tie the game at 1-1.The Vikings then took control of the game with two goals before halftime when Gillian Snyder converted a penalty kick to give Jackson the lead for good and Selby scored her second goal to make the score 3-1 at the half.The Indians were not able to mount a 2nd half comeback, as the Vikings received single goals from Payton Robinson and Jayla Estelle, before Snyder ended the scoring with her second goal of the game.In all Jackson was able to outshoot the Indians 17-5, with Indian g

Soccer Earns 1-0 Win Over Monroe St. Mary’s in Final Regular Season Home Contest

The Tecumseh Indians Girls Soccer team won their 3rd straight game by shutout at home on Saturday, this time blanking Monroe St. Mary 1-0.The game turned into another defensive struggle for the Indians, as neither team was able to get on the scoreboard in the first half, despite the Indians carrying to play for most of the period. But 12 minutes into the 2nd half, Senior Brook Stark got loose and ended the deadlock, scoring the game's only goal. Overall, the Indians took 23 shots on goal, while the Kestrels could only test Indian goalie Ingrid Bergman 7 times on the afternoon. Bergman has now not allowed a goal for over six straight halves during Tecumseh’s three game winning streak.The Indians have their final road trip of the season on Monday when they travel to Jackson to face the Vikings at 6:30.

The Tecumseh Indians Golf Squad had a busy afternoon on Saturday as they competed in the 12 team Bedford Varsity Invitational at the Legacy Golf Course in Ottawa Lake.The host school dominated the competition entering two teams in the tournament with Bedford One winning the championship with a score of 309 and Bedford Two finishing second shooting a 320. Third place went to the Clinton Red Wolves finishing with a score of 325, finishing 2 shots ahead 4th place Ann Arbor Greenhills.Tecumseh found themselves in 7th place with a score of 345. The Indians effort was led by Jacob Barrie who finished in a five-way tie for 14th with and 82. Other Indian scores included Colin McDowell with an 84, Kellen Cadieux 86, Lamar Longabaugh 93 and Jamison Gross 102.Also representing Tecumseh playing as an individual was Sophomore Nolan Smith who broke into the 80’s with an 83. The Indians next action will be on Tuesday May 19, in the SEC Conference Championship at Leslie Park Golf Course in Ann Ar

The Tecumseh Baseball team defeated Hudson on Friday in a non-conference single game in Hudson.Winning pitcher Braden Baur and reliver Kyle Barden combined to toss a one hitter at the Tigers while striking out four Hudson hitters. The Indians took the lead in the contest scoring a pair of runs in the third and adding a single run in the fifth. The Indians busted the game open in the 6th when Connor Bullinger unloaded a grand slam homer to make the score 7-0. Bullinger, who was named the Tecumseh Athlete of the Week this week, went 2 for 4 on the day and stole a base, adding to his career record total after breaking the school record of 74 last week.In all the Indians collected 8 hits, with Lex Glover going 2 for 4, scoring 2 runs and Rocco Williams clouting a double. After splitting a doubleheader at Adrian on Tuesday the Indians hosted the Maples on Thursday in the deciding game of the series and won the series with a narrow 1-0 win over the Maples.After holding the Maples scoreless in the first inning the Indians went right to work to score the only run they needed in the bottom of the first. Connor Bullinger singled to get things started and immediately moved into scoring position by stealing 2nd base. Jeremy Bennett then laid down a successful sacrifice bunt to move Bullinger to 3rd. Rocco Williams flied out as Bullinger raced home with what would turn out to be the game’s only run.From then on Tecumseh’s Dirk Ysassi took control of the game with a dominate complete game two hit shutout. Ysassi, who had no-hit Michigan Center a week ago, exhibited excellent control walking just one Maple hitter throughout the contest. The Tecumseh Indians Soccer team celebrated their senior night game on Wednesday and after pair of Chloe Bullinger goals and a defensive shutout, they celebrated a 2-0 victory over the Pinckney Pirates.The two teams went scoreless in the first half, but the Indians carried the play throughout on their way to a 29-4 shot advantage for the game. The Indians finally broke through with a Chloe Bullinger goal 10 minutes into 2nd half. The 1-0 lead was maintained until Bullinger scored an insurance goal during the 39th minute of the second half.Indian Netminder Ingrid Bergman earned her second straight shutout in the contest. Bergman finished the evening with 4 saves. With the win, Tecumseh splits the season series with Pinckney, after the Pirates prevailed in a 2-1 game back in April.Tecumseh will play its final home game of the regular season on Saturday when they host Monroe St. Mary’s at 11 am in the Soccer Stadium.

The Tecumseh baseball team travel to Adrian for the first two games of their three-game series with the Adrian Maples this week and got mixed results, downing Adrian 8-2 in the opener and dropping game two to the Maples 8-4.Rocco Williams provide a stellar performance in game one striking out 9 Maples and allowing no earned runs in a complete game victory on the mound and providing a key 3 run double at the plate to bust the game open for Tecumseh. Also providing offensive fire power for the Indians were Conner Bullinger who went 4 for 4 with an RBI while Ben Andrews and Lex Glover each clubbed RBI doubles. The Indians did much of their damage in the 4th inning where the scored 5 runs to extend a 2-0 into a 7-0 advantage. Adrian countered with a single run in the 5th, and both teams scratched out a run in the 7th. The Tecumseh Soccer team scored early and often on Monday night, using seven 1st half goals to blitz Ypsilanti Lincoln 8-0 in SEC White division soccer action at the Tecumseh Soccer field.Brook Stark and Leila Morris each scored a pair of goals while the Indians received single goals from Chloe Bullinger, Valerie Codina, Lily Haeussler and Ally Barrie during the Indian onslaught of the Lincoln goal. Barrie’s goal was the game’s only scoring in the second half. Tecumseh outshot the Railsplitters by a 17 to 3 margin and Indian goalkeeper Ingrid Bergman stopped all three Lincoln shots to register the shutout.The Indians will be home again on Wednesday when the program host senior night against the Pinckney Pirates starting at 5:30.

The Tecumseh golf team traveled to Timber Trace Golf Club in Pinckney on Thursday to take on both the Pirates and the Bedford Kicking Mules and found themselves coming up on the short end of a very close match decided by just eight strokes. Bedford shot 167 to win the match, with Pinckney carding a 173 for a second-place finish and Tecumseh was just two shots behind at 175.Despite the loss, Tecumseh was represented by the day’s medalist as Colin McDowell bested the field firing a 38, while Pinckney’s Ben Karolak was runner up at 40. Where Bedford distinguished themselves was placing all four of their counting scores in a row, with Oakley Morrow scoring a 41 and Mason Schroeder, Quintin Bruce and Connor Urbanski coming in with a 42.In addition to McDowell, the remaining Tecumseh scores included Jacob Barrie (45), Kellen Cadieux and Trent Fahle (46) and Lamar Longabaugh with (48).

The Tecumseh baseball team hosted the Western Panthers in a non-conference doubleheader on Thursday, and the visiting Panthers pulled off a sweep by winning both games by scores of 7-2 and 7-6.In game number one, Tecumseh’s Dick Ysassi held the Panthers scoreless over the first three innings but Western broke through with 3 runs in the 4th and 2 runs in the 5th and 6th. Tecumseh broke up the shutout with a run in the 5th and scored a lone run in the 7th. The Tecumseh Baseball squad enjoyed a three-game sweep of the Jackson Vikings this week by winning game one 11-1 on Monday and taking a 7-2 lead in game two before weather halted the game which was suspended an picked up on Wednesday. When resumed, the Indians continued to roll to a 12-2 win, halted after 5 innings by the 10-run mercy rule. Finally, in the regularly scheduled Wednesday contest the Indians triumphed with a 7-0 shutout win.In game two of the series, Jackson jumped to a 2-0 lead after the first inning, but the Indians reclaimed control with a 7 run second inning before the rains came. The Tecumseh Girls Soccer team traveled to Adrian on Wednesday, and the host Maples came away with a 5-1 win over the Indians. The Indians were unable to contain the Maples Tatum Borton, who scored four of the Maples five goals, including three in the first half which gave Adrian a 3-1 lead at the intermission. Borton scored in a number of ways, scoring an unassisted goal, on a penalty kick and on a free kick for her three first half goals.Jaeleigh Niese scored Adrian’s other goal with an assist from Ella Salenbien, while Niese picked up an assist on Borton’s fourth tally.Tecumseh’s goal came in the first half, scored by Chloe Bullinger and at the time pulled the Indians within one at 2-1, but Tecumseh was unable to sustain the momentum from there.Despite the loss, Tecumseh goalkeeper Ingrid Bergman was spectacular in goal, turning away 21 Maple shots on the evening.The Soccer team will be in action next on Friday in a non-conference game against Monroe St. Mary.

The Tecumseh Indians finished 2nd in the Lenawee County Boys Golf Tournament on Monday at Wolf Creek Golf Club, with a total score of 336, finishing behind only the Clinton Red Wolves, who took the County Crown with a 329 and just ahead of 3rd place Adrian, who registered a score of 338.The field included 11 teams and 55 golfers and the Individual medalists with scores of 78 were Max Stamats of Lenawee Christian and Robert McDonald of Clinton. Just one shot behind the leaders was Brandon Ruhl of Clinton with a 79 and rounding out the top five were Jacob Barrie of Tecumseh and Lucas Schwartz of Addison who finished tied for 4th with scores of 81.The Indians Kellen Cadieux, Trent Fahle and Collin McDowell all shot 85, finishing in a 5-way log jam with Noah Staudinger of Adrian Madison and Jayden Valasek for 11th place. The Tecumseh Indian Girls Soccer team saw another home game be interrupted by weather on Monday, as they dropped a SEC White Division contest to the Chelsea Bulldogs 2-0 in a game called complete at the end of the 1st half because of rain.The victorious Bulldogs received goals from Emma Ruszkiewicz and Avery Cousino, scoring twice on 14 shots with 9 on goal in the half, as Ingrid Bergman made 7 saves on the evening. Brooke Stark supplied the Indians their lone shot on goal. The Soccer team will travel to Adrian Wednesday to square off against the Maples.

The Indian baseball squad hosted a three team Invitational on Saturday, dropping a 6-2 decision to Whiteford and coming back to take the nightcap against Michigan Center 2-0.In game one the Indians jumped to a 2-1 lead, but the Bobcats scored all the runs they would need in the top of the third, scoring five times off Indian starter Kyle Barden to make the score 6-2. The Bobcats collected only four hits in the game, but benefited from 7 walks issued by Barden and reliver Max Roehrig. Junior pitcher Ben Andrews allowed just two unearned runs while scattering 7 hits to lead the Tecumseh Indians to a 12-2 five inning mercy rule victory over Adrian Madison on Friday. The Indian offense was also hitting on all cylinders as Tecumseh scored runs in four of the game’s five innings, including 5 run innings in the first and fifth frames. The Indians 9 hits were scattered up and down the lineup, led by Sam Abbott’s two hits and RBI, while Connor Bullinger and Lex Glover each drove in a pair of runs. Others driving in runs Kyle Barden, Ben Andrews, and Zeke Schmidt. The Ypsilanti Grizzlies defend their home pitch on Wednesday, coming away with a 1-0 victory over the Indians in a defensive struggle. The two teams combined for just 12 shots on goal but the Grizzlies socred in the 24th minute of the second half on a goal by Nargis Seraji-Bozorgzad, which would stand up the rest of the way for the Ypsilanti victory.Leading the Indians on offense was Brooke Stark who fired 6 shots at the Ypsilanti net. Overall, the Indians took 10 shots in the game with only 5 reaching the Grizzlies net. Goaltender Ingrid Bergman stood tall in the Indians net, turning away 6 Ypsilanti attempts on the evening. The Indians next game will be home next Monday, when they host the Chelsea Bulldogs at the Soccer Stadium starting at 4:30.

The Tecumseh Indian Golf squad finished second on Tuesday at the Hills of Lenawee Golf Club falling to rival Adrian and defeating Ann Arbor Skyline in an SEC tri meet.Led by senior Harrison Boyd’s 43, the Maples shot 176, 7 shots in front of the Indians 183, while Skyline carded a 187 to finish 3rd.Boyd, along with Skyline's Lucas Phipps finished as co-medalists, while Adrian’s Krisna Prasad Sunkara and Cameron tied for second with 44’s. Next came Adrian's Carter Hawking and Tecumseh’s Lamar Longabaugh with 45. The rest of the Indians scores belonged to Colin McDowell, Jacob Barrie, Jamison Gross and Kellen Cadieux all with 46’s. Trent Fahle rounded out the Indians scoring with a 49.The Indians next action will be next Monday when they compete in the Lenawee County tournament at Wolf Creek.

Tecumseh’s Kennadi Fulton dominated once again on the mound, leading the Indians to a 2-0 win over Whiteford on Teacher Appreciation night at the Softball Stadium. Fulton tossed a shutout for the Indians striking out 12 to earn the win in another pitchers dual.The offensive star of the game was Maya Juozapaitis, who scored both of the Indians runs, including one on exciting inside of the park home run.The Indians were originally scheduled to play a doubleheader with the Bobcats, but game two was washed out by rain. The Indians next action will be at Dexter on Wednesday starting at 4:00 pm

Indians Host Annual Tecumseh Invitational Golf Tournament

Tecumseh Golf Club was once again the site of the annual Tecumseh Boys Golf Invitational on Monday. This year’s field included 26 teams and two individuals. In total 131 players teed off in this year’s event.The Northwest Mounties emerged the champions of the event, posting a score of 319 to edge Temperance Bedford (323) by 4 shots and Chelsea (324) by 5 shots.The host Indians recorded a total 353 earning a top ten finish, coming in ninth in the event. Collin McDowell and Kellen Cadieux turned in the best rounds for Tecumseh, each with an 87, while Lamar Longabaugh was one shot back with an 88 and Trent Fahle provided a fourth score with a 91.Individually champion Northwest placed three in the top ten as Jarrett Osterberg was individual champion with a 76, Cody Rowe was tied for second with a 77 and Jake Brafford was part of 4-way tie for 6th with a 79.
