Giovanni Lore Swims to Record at MISCA

Giovanni Lore was the lone Tecumseh High School Boys Swim Team member to qualify to participate in the Michigan Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (MISCA) meet that took place on Saturday February 15th, 2020 at Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Giovanni had an amazing day at the MISCA meet. He went in seeded 28th in the 50 yard Freestyle with a time of 22.73 and finished tied for 12th with a time of 22.25, improving on his state qualifying time and breaking the previous Tecumseh Varsity Record of 22.34 set in 2018 by Kyle Mitchell. Giovanni also swam the 100 yard Butterfly going in seeded 36th with a time of 56.72 and finishing in 24th with a state qualifying time of 55.30. The MISCA meet includes many of the top swimmers from teams in all divisions, both finishes placed Giovanni as one of the top 3 finishers among the Division 3 swimmers that participated at this meet. Giovanni has now qualified for states in both of these events.
