The Tecumseh High School Girls Swim Team held their first dual meet against Dundee on Thursday 9/6 at the Tecumseh Community Pool. The Tecumseh Indians came out on top with a final score of 97 to 86. Tecumseh placed first in 7 out of the 12 events and finished with 7 MISCA cuts and 4 State cuts. State qualifiers included the 200 Medley Relay team of Ashlyn Clewis, Linda Hensley, Kamilla Linn, and Julianne Lore with a time of 1:58.74, freshman Linda Hensley in the 200 IM with a time of 2:18.82, freshman Amelia Danley in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 1:03.07, and senior Ashlyn Clewis in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 1:03.84. Along with those qualifiers, Tecumseh also had 3 more MISCA qualifications including the 200 Medley Relay of Amelia Danley, Veda Massanari-Thatcher, Kylie Balant, and Kylie Dawley with a time of 1:59.15, Linda Hensley in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:14.96, and the 400 Freestyle Relay of Julianne Lore, Veda Massanari-Thatcher, Kamilla Linn, and Linda Hensley with a time of 3:56.31. Tecumseh's next meet is against Milan on Tuesday 9/11 at Milan High School.
