he Tecumseh High School Girls Swim Team competed in their first swim meet of the 2019 season on Tuesday 8/27 at Erie Mason High School. The final score was Tecumseh 131, Erie Mason 43. Tecumseh placed first in all 12 events. The Tecumseh girls ended the night with 4 State cuts, including Linda Hensley in the 200 yard Individual Medley with a time of 2:16.98 and the 500 yard Freestyle with a time of 5:27.59, Emily Solarski in the 100 yard Butterfly with a time of 59.36, and the 200 yard Individual Medley Relay of Amelia Danley, Linda Hensley, Emily Solarski, and Kylie Dawley with a time of 1:56.59. These times also qualified these girls for the Michigan Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (MISCA) meet, along with Makayla Sanders in the 100 yard Freestyle with a time of 58.20 and the 400 yard Freestyle Relay of Emily Solarski, Julianne Lore, Kylie Balent, and Linda Hensley with a time of 3:57.09. The next competition for the Tecumseh Girls Swim Team will be on Thursday September 5th at Dundee High School.
