The Tecumseh High School Girls Swim Team competed in their first meet of the 2021 season against the Erie Ida High School Girls Swim Team at the Adrian High School Pool on Thursday August 26th.  The final score was Tecumseh 102 and Erie-Ida 48.  Tecumseh finished with 3 state cuts, 4 MISCA cuts, 10 first place finishes, and 13 high school career best times.  The state cuts were from Makayla Sanders in the 50 yard Freestyle with a time of 25.61 and Linda Hensley in the 50 yard Freestyle with a time of 25.22 and in the 100 yard Butterfly with a time of 1:01.81.  These qualified for MISCA cuts as well, along with Amelia Danley in the 100 yard Backstroke with a time of 1:05.74.   High School Career  Best times came from Jazlyn Reau, Norah Fraker, and Maia Peoples in the 200 yard Individual Medley with respective times of 2:42.66, 2:59.34, and 3:39.23; Linda Hensley, Makayla Sanders, and Amelia Danley in the 50 yard Freestyle with respective times of 25.22, 25.61, and 27.19;  Linda Hensley in the 100 yard Butterfly with a time of 1:01.81; Amelia Danley and Maia Peoples in the 100 yard Freestyle with respective times of 58.97 and 1:19.09; and Lauren Stimpson and Jazlyn Reau in the 500 yard Freestyle with respective times of 6:27.53 and 6:37.64.  Tecumseh finished first in all three relays, including the 200 yard Medley Relay of Kylie Balent, Lauren Stimpson, Norah Fraker, and Jazlyn Reau with a time of 2:09.69, the 200 yard Freestyle Relay of Kylie Dawley, Norah Fraker, Kylie Balent, and Jazlyn Reau with a time of 1:57.32, and the 400 yard Freestyle Relay of Kylie Balent, Linda Hensley, Lacey Gilson, and Isabella Hennings with a time of 4:05.15. Tecumseh's next meet is scheduled for Tuesday 9/21 at the Tecumseh Community Pool.
